Kay Dennison:
Kay has been the coordinator of the Delta Seniors Planning Team for the past 12 years and serves on several committees providing support and education for those being impacted by addiction, violence, and abuse in relationships. She has worked for the past 30 years to raise awareness in the community on stigma and racism and to provide a voice for those unable to speak. Kay has been a member of the committee since its inception.
Pam Shaw:
Pam has been a member of the committee since its inception. She began as a representative of the local United Church where she was part of their Affirm Team. She is a white settler who has lived in North Delta for 40 years. Her ancestors came from Norway and on stolen land they built a life in Canada.
Rhiannon Bennett:
Rhiannon (she/her) is Musqueam and a much-sought-after speaker who is well known for asking tough questions in a manner that encourages engagement and dialogue. She joined the committee shortly after it began. Rhiannon is actively working to create a more equitable world for all. She is deeply invested in doing the work she is widely known for, in the community where her family has lived since the land first existed.
Andrea Hilder:
Andrea (she/her) is a settler, an educator, and a long time Delta resident. She has been on this committee since 2019 as it aligns with her desire to work towards anti-racism. She continues to work to leverage her advantages and position of power to amplify the voices and experiences of those who have been historically excluded.
